LC1.6.1.4
The process of rusting
The process of rusting

Description

In this experiment the students analyse the rusting process using iron wool as an example. They recognize that oxygen is necessary for this process and that the rusting process therefore corresponds to slow combustion. A glow chip sample is used to illustrate that oxygen has been consumed.
