Description

Shown on the front is a schematic diagram of a free nerve ending in the epidermis. This module encodes thermal stimuli into impulses (0 to 30 Hz in the temperature range between 0 and 100 °C, indicated by a green LED). After an initial increase the impulse frequency drops off when the stimulus is sustained for some time.
The temperature sensor (semiconductor) is connected to the module via a coiled cord and may be plugged into the module.
